Right. And that one is dead easy to make non-vegan - just replace the soy milk with skimmed milk. They behave very similarly in oven-based cooking.
I don't know about ice cream, and I can't be bothered to experiment as I can't eat dairy ice cream :) I suspect that the recipe would need a big change to the sugar level, because the soy milk I use is presweetened.
