I *heart* LJ, really.

While my LJ Scrapbook photos are still broken and there is still no information about when it will be fixed, I've just discovered an amazing new benefit of the move. My journal comments have been converted to UTC, and now I actually know when they were posted, instead of them being in some weird time zone 6 hours ahead of me! OK, that is the highlight of my day, now :P

(Yeah, 6 hours ahead was what they did before. Not behind. That would've been, like, sensible, considering that much of the US is 6 hours behind the UK, and I could've remembered that).

The comment timezone shift happened a while ago. I noticed it long before the move (and the west coast of the US, where the comment timezone was, is 8 hours behind not 6 hours ahead).

No, it depended which cluster you were on, and where that cluster was located. People whose journals were already in San Francisco were on UTC, people whose journals were still in Seattle were on that weird timezone. As recently as two days ago, I was sitting there trying to figure out whether someone in the UK was still awake.
