katyha pointed me at this article in The Onion, and I'm extremely amused by it! It does sum up my current employment status. The thing is, I really like my job. If I got paid twice what I do, I wouldn't bother ever trying to have A Career - I'd just stick with the market research.

I have Yet Another cold. I think this will be my fourth in as many months - though I can't actually be bothered to go back through my LJ to check. Despite loving my job, I didn't go into work today - I called in sick and spent the day in bed. Between sleep and being extremely dosed up, I don't feel too bad now. (I was a lot more miserable last night.) But I hope Richard gets home soon, because I'm starving!

I think that this disproves the old cliche "time is money". Time is worth much more than money. I would much rather have more spare time than more money!

Scarily accurate... I'm certainly much happier now (as a student with zero income) than I was in my old job, since I actually have free time again.
