public post about Bicon

Bicon finished 4 hours 15 minutes ago.
We got home 1 hour 55 minutes ago.
My post-Bicon comedown started 1 hour 10 minutes ago.
Is this a new world record?

I've decided to give up the second capital as no one else bothers with it... I know when I've lost my battle.

Why does Bicon/BiCon need a second capital? :)

Because it is an abbreviation of two words, Bisexual and Convention and although it is run together, it is less confusable with the salty smoked pork product that we eat for breakfast if it is properly capitalised. :-)

I don't know about records, but I don't think the battle about BiCon -v- Bicon is lost. [livejournal.com profile] phoenixology's post adjacent to yours uses BiCon and so do I, so there are three supporters of dual-caps.

At least there is LJ to provide support for the withdrawl symptons...

I don't think the Battle for BiCon is anywhere near lost yet...

re capitalisation: heh. in email and (were i ever to refer to it) on usenet i use both capitals and certainly have no intention of giving up. however on lj it isn't possible to tell how i capitalise things inside my head.

re post-bicon comedown: a) *hugs* and b) mine started on the train home last night and i've been feeling all lonesome and discombobulated for the last three hours or so. all loose-endish and not knowing what to do with myself. the machine that would permit me to arrange myself a social life for tonight being out of commission is not helping in this regard.

I believe I've referred to it as BiCon :)

*hugs*

Ok so I'm the world's laziest typist, in fact known for years as 'typo queen' and I use BiCon because it looks wrong anyother way. Altho I will admit it is annoying in the wiki with highlighted BiCon's everywhere.

Glad you had a good BiCon. Sorry to hear re BiCon comedown, sending sympathetic but distant hugs, you don't want my gremlin illness on top of your own.

Hugs
Natalya

No! Don't lose the capital C in BiCon! Maybe we mix in different circles (because everyone I know seems to know how to spell it) or maybe it's that the LJ communities are case insensitive, but if you spell it the wrong way I'll think you're referring to a dental implant. (http://www.bicon.co.uk/)

(And if it's any consolation I was fighting back tears on Monday afternoon, before I'd left the BiCon site, but almost everyone else had -- a very dramatic signal that it's all over)
