Fucking debt recovery people still hounding us for an unpaid debt left over from a previous tenant of this property, who moved out at least a year ago. I've sent them 2 letters, I've rung them up 3 times. What is it going to fucking take to get them to leave us alone?

I'm calling our solicitor.

Best of luck ... we've had the local council sending us loads of letters about the council tax. It seems the person who lived here before the developers who sold it to us hadn't told them when he moved out ... they still seem to be chasing him for unpaid council tax. I *think* the letters stopped coming after a strongly worded one from me saying that I had given them all the information about who we bought the house from and when several times now and I did NOT expect to hear from them again. A solicitor's letter would probably work, though won't it cost? Might be worth it, I suppose, if it buys peace of mind.
