price pisstake

Dear Expedia,

Please tell me you're taking the piss? Otherwise, why is the cheapest flight from Rochester, NY to Boston, MA on expedia.com a mere $119, yet on expedia.co.uk it's UKP 144.80 (which, according to today's exchange rate is $269)?

Would anyone with a US credit card & a PayPal account be willing to book the flight for me? because this increase in price is Just Not Funny.

Actually I think there is something funny about the way that travel agents operate in the UK. It seems like some kind of regulation means that foreign ones (like expedia.com) can't sell to uk people and so UK ones get to charge more.

I heard something about this on the news recently as the relevant laws were changing.

Have a nice time!

If Expedia.ca is in line with Expedia.com, I have paypal and a Canadian credit card that would be happy to help.

Sorry - expedia.ca is charging a minimum of CA $331, which is ... 269 UKP. I think there is a conspiracy afoot :(

I think I will just go to the airport in Rochester tomorrow and try to book the flight there :( Grrrr.

It's about 2.4 CA $ to the pound according to the BBC site, so it's 138-ish UKP.

Hope things work out there, can't help you with a forrin credit card, I'm afraid :(. Good luck & *hugs*.

I meant it was $269 US, i.e. the same price as the 144.80 UKP.

I was tired, ok?

Even more tired now, I've been up since 5.30am and it's now 11.55pm...
