A Heap of Trouble

Nine naked men just walking down the road, would cause a heap of trouble for all concerned. Video, not amazingly work-safe (though it's classic British comedy nudity rather than erotic nudity), really requires sound so you too can get the song stuck in your head! I think it's hilarious, although Richard didn't find it funny at all.

I *think* the idea may be that all men secretly desire to be a naked man walking down the road, and they are constrained by modern-day society. So it takes a mere one naked man to allow others to do what they've always wanted to. The man who wanted to get naked & was stopped by the women was rather henpecked in general. Perhaps the idea is that modern society was created by women?

Yeah, I was pointed toward that quite some time ago, and I think it's very funny.

The description sounded rather familiar - and lo, it's something that [livejournal.com profile] bfo and I saw a few years back at an arts catalyst (http://www.artscatalyst.org) screening in camden. I suspect that, like most art, the idea was mostly to do something weird, and let the meaning bubble its way out in time.

I didn't think it was hilarious, but I really liked it anyway, and I have no idea why.
