Unfortunate link of the day.

You called your baby WHAT?!. I had to stop reading after page 4, because my brain was threatening to melt.

Some of those names wouldn't be that bad if they were spelled correctly, but I'm sorry: Tayler Emmaleigh? Kellyna Nychole? Argh!

Not too bothered by the spellings, other than it seems to be a case of difference for difference's sake. Just another quirk of the TXT and haxx0r generations, I suspect..

I fear, I really do.

My mum teaches 7 - 11 yr old kids and you go into the class there's hundreds of kelseighs, kayleighs, daisy's and all the boys seem to be called Joshua or some variant of. Its truly painful to call out the register (I have tried hard not to cringe seeing these ghastly names on the display boards).

I think Too many Y error - which isn't unique to bad kids names
Too many dodgy city names a la Madi(y)son.
Too much addition of 'lyn(n)(e) to make a name sound twice as awful as it ever did.

That said I'm gonna get round to changing my name to Natalya, cos my birthname is actually a more Anglicised/French version (whcih I hate).

Who knows what people will hate, some people like having a double-barreled name and dislike it being shortened, some (often Americans) seem to shorten it to things like C J and use that as a 'name'. Personal preference I guess.

Good thing I'm never having kids, I'd probably end up calling them after computers or something, that or lizards.

Natalya

Names are opaque identifiers and should be treated as such. Make no assumptions.

Ms Nicolai Plum has NO PLACE HERE!!!!

Pissing in the namespace with different spellings of the (phonetically) same name is just being destructive. Get over it and develop your own personality so that you are the special John!

I like the name Jayden for a girl and Jaden for a boy. I'm also thinking of other bisexual names. (from 5th page)

*giggle*

Aw, well, I'm glad I'm not breeding. :)

Oh?

What are the horrors of child names that you would inflict upon some poor unsuspecting brat?

I'm not planning on breeding either and the naming would be the least of their problems if I was their mother; I'd make an awful mother.

Just go with the usual anime names. Trowa, Hisoka, Hakuto, Rei :)

Errm... Well, no, maybe not. I'd give them bog-standard normal names so no one would have a case for taking the pee. However given that I'm very adept at killing plants, I'm not sure I'd fare much better with children. Besides, they clutter!

I'm not good with plants either, hehehe.

I don't need anything else to clutter up my space, i do that well enough myself.

Not to mention children + computers == broken computers.

These were funny enough that A forgot he was depressed and started laughing :)
