greetings from Glamorgan

I have achieved BiCon. The train journey to get here was somewhat hairy, due to there being three almost-empty first class carriages but six full-to-bursting standard class carriages. I sat on the floor until Didcot :/ Back In The Day, there used to exist something called Weekend First that let you upgrade to first class for £5 or £10 if there was lots of space there, but it doesn't seem to be available any more. Quite annoying, as i'd happily pay a fiver to escape a claustrophobic, over-packed carriage.
