I am very pleased to have a B in Transition Metal chemistry because that was the exam I did no revision for owing to having been ill (= mental) all weekend prior to it. I'm also rather pleased with the B for the Dissertation which I did in two weeks instead of over several months. It was incomplete and nowhere near my true ability, but far, far better than a bare pass.

The other grades stand for themselves. I knew I should have a high A for Photochemistry and Concerted Reactions and for Atomic and Mass Spec, but the actual grades are in the stratosphere. As for the A in Bio Chem II - well, I thought I'd got about 60% at most. Obviously I underestimate my own ability.

Also have a lovely email from Philip about doing a PhD with him which is longer than every email he's previously sent me all put together :D
