baratron: (what's this?)

Re: part 2 of this, I have had a discussion with several different people which may achieve mutual satisfactory resolution. More about that later. However, I am still stressed out of my little brain.

What is an appropriate method for someone who doesn't drink alcohol to achieve the feeling of "going to get very drunk"? Best I can think of so far is going to eat a large quantity of chocolate ice cream or mousse, but that doesn't feel special enough for the amount of stress that I need to dump. Especially as there isn't any REALLY GOOD vegan ice cream available here. (If I were in the US, I'd go to get one of those pots of Purely Delicious vegan gluten-free Cookie Dough and eat it until I no longer wanted to eat it - but here there really isn't anything that I don't have as dessert on a regular basis.)

Glad things are looking resolvable, but it shouldn't happen in the first place tossnuggets!

I have no idea what the teetotal splurge is. I really should work that out cos splurge drinking is horrible anyway!

Codiene?

Dancing and milkshakes after?

Heh. I have to say that I'm immune to "interesting" side-effects from codeine - I only get the very non-interesting effect of getting completely bunged up in the intestinal area. So I try to avoid it unless no other painkiller will work.

Dancing (or at least, music I like) and milkshakes would be awesome, if I could find a place that does vegan milkshakes fairly near College. The only place I know of that's open in the evening that does them is the Pogo Cafe at Hackney, and they close at 9pm anyway.

Somehow, going home after a long and difficult day to make milkshakes with my own hand blender doesn't quite fulfill what I had in mind...

I thought of dancing too, on the theory that what you're craving is to kick your brain chemistry around a little bit. Drugs (alcohol, excessive sugar) do that, dancing works, … sex? skydiving? really good music?

Terribly late reply, of course, but I'd say the hard part to emulate is the morning after. Enjoy yourself a lot the night before, but dehydrate yourself and skip some medication that will result in nasty withdrawal symptoms. The next morning should feel just about right.

*blegh*
