in which I survive medical adventures

Today I managed to have a blood test and not collapse in a heap, throw up, or do anything else to disgrace myself. Yay for being assertive ("I really do need to lie down"). It's for various things including thyroid (TSH), which is good because I'd wanted to have a test for that, and it was spontaneously suggested by the doctor. I'm expecting it to be within the range of normal, but I want to know where my baseline is in the likely event that my thyroid will go underactive in the next decade or so.

Also my smear test results were "normal", so I don't have to worry about that again before July 2011. Double yay.
