Question: Why do I always forget to change journal when I'm posting somewhere else?
We now have ADSL at home again. Hooray, & stuff. Now I have about a million years of lj and webcomics and boards to catch up on. Well, let's be honest - I'm not going to catch up on them, but at least I can find out what people are doing now...
I seem to have missed some actual amusing content on User Friendly. What happened there?! ;) What the hell is that? and its sequel is for all the rhythm action gamers (and everyone who gets annoyed by DDR/Dancing Stage machines). What's wrong with weblogs #1 is funny, #2 is maybe just a little too close to home. I Am Not Addicted, I Can Stop Anytime. Hrm, so how come whenever I stop for a time & come back I instantly have to try to catch up with everything I missed? :/
I have a cold, or possibly hay fever. Too early to tell which. But every ~0.2s, my eyes send a message to my brain saying "We itch" and my brain has to respond "I know". This is seriously getting in the way of me doing anything that requires a brain. Huh.
Oh yeah, yesterday was a Free Listing Day on eBay so I put up loads of crap. It took me two hours and I only managed to list about half the crap I need to clear out. Please look at my lovely auctions and bid on stuff that interests you. I got increasingly hysterical as the descriptions went on.
meeping in particular will meep at my description for this book. And I think my bra description is the most amusing thing I've ever written.
Item you are bidding on:
Black "cotton-mix" bra, size 38DD
The one in the photo, worn once and laundered to eBay standards.
Lace-free and underwire-free. For women who like their underwear comfortable and practical, not itchy or scratchy.
I hate underwired bras, I really do. For some reason, bra manufacturers seem to think that all women with larger bosoms want to stick sharp things into their delicate parts. Getting non-wired bras in sizes above a D-cup is like getting blood from a stone. Fortunately, the lovely people at BHS know our pain, and produce two (TWO!) different styles of bra without nasty wiring. Hooray!
I bought this bra because it's black and cottony and lace-free (apart from my lack of desire for underwires, my other great underwear no-no is lace - if I WANTED itchy unmentionables, I'd rub them in stinging nettles!). Unfortunately for me, the cups on this bra are quite low-cut, and the day I wore it, I felt like I was falling out of it. So I had to buy instead the Comfort Bra, which for some stupid reason only comes in white, and costs twice as much. Huh.
You can take advantage of my coyness by getting this bra for a fraction of what you'd pay in BHS today. Like I said, I wore it once, and it has been thoroughly washed and returned to its box. If I didn't have morals, I could've taken it back to the shop. Instead, I'll use it towards my new digital camera!
Um, ok... the itchy eyes are clearly getting to me.

Date: 2004-06-21 12:06 pm (UTC)Linnea appears to be cow's milk intolerant, by the way. Any suggestions for ways to make my diet less boring?
