Seen elsewhere on lj today:

Wow.

I still need to find the copious free time sometime before the actual election to talk about my views on politics and why they are the way they are...

This (<http://www.channel4.com/news/factcheck/quote.jsp?id=138>) article explains why that wouldn't translate into a majority for the Lib Dems. :|

Oh sure - I never thought it would mean a majority. In fact I got the link from someone else on lj (who posts all political posts friends-only for some reason) in whose journal there was a discussion about "I wonder what it would look like using [some system I can't remember the name of that represents all constituencies as the same size squares]".

The thing is, it would be a helluva lot of seats. What I'm hoping for this time round is a hung Parliament - with none of the parties having anything like a majority. Ideally I'd like it hung between the LibDems and the Greens, but realistically - anything that stops the terrifying twosome of Blair & Howard would be great.

Your link was broken, btw - this (http://www.channel4.com/news/factcheck/quote.jsp?id=138) is better.

A hung parliament would be ideal, yes. More seats for the Lib Dems would definitely be good. I do wish they didn't oppose increases in the minimum wage though.

And oops.
