British schoolchildren cause earthquake.

How come I live in the UK, and I have to be told about these things by an American? Bah.

By the way, the UK does have measurable earthquakes every so often, especially in some parts of Wales - they're just feeble compared to everywhere else :) I think the average is about 4.5 on the Richter scale.

i'm surprised you hadn't heard about it, news.bbc has been going on about it for weeks. P. was very disappointed it didn't cause a major rearrangement of the landscape of east anglia -- he was hoping for some actual hills to result !

i remember the earthquake of ?1985? (sometime around then anyway) that was centred somewhere off the coast of north wales, which was certainly quite noticeable in the wirral. the one of 1987-ish i didn't even notice at all (too busy concentrating on my maths lesson, i suppose ;-))
