Quick lj friendslist question.

How do I add someone from Dreamwidth as a livejournal friend? Is the FAQ about OpenID still accurate? I thought it was now possible to add someone as Username@LivejournalCloneSite, rather than as ext_number.

I think the simplest approach is to get that person to leave a comment on one of your public posts (e.g. this one!) using their OpenID. Then hover over the OpenID logo next to their name (or click on it) and you can add them as a friend.

If you look at this comment on my LJ (from an OpenID account), you should be able to see what options are available.

Ha, turns out I can use any OpenID... this one's my usual one, so I think it'll even work with my RSS reader.
