I hate feeling like I don't have enough time to sleep. I need sleep. Especially considering all the health problems I have. Too much to do, and not enough time.
I hate being allergic to my own central heating. We have crappy electric heaters and they give me a headache. So I have to have the window open at the same time that I have the heater on. Overnight it is too fscking cold for me to do that, so come the morning I feel horrible and bleurghy.
I hate having a cut on the first finger of my right hand, with no idea how I got it, so it hurts to type.
I hate being dependent on other people to resolve my problems; people I don't know, so can't trust.

Date: 2002-12-12 03:24 pm (UTC)How exactly can you be allergic to an electric heater? You put electricity in, you get heat out, and provided they aren't too new, you should have negligable outgassing of sensitising volatiles from the plastic components therein.
That said, I do know exactly the symptoms you mean, and the solution for me has been to drink fluids before bedtime (dehydration was a major part of the problem), turn down the heating, leave a window slightly ajar (for fresh air, which may be a moot point given that you're in London) and move to a thicker duvet or blanket. Letting my body regulate its own temperature seemed to be the key part of the solution.
