It strikes me on the one hand that the best place in the world to be tonight will be with a couple of hundred other people who understand exactly what I'm going through, and on the other hand that being amongst all the other hardcore fans would be too much like holding a wake for someone who isn't even dead yet.

And I have a job application form to fill in that has to be there by tomorrow, yet I'm in no mood at all to even start.
