I'm not sure about this one: 60 foot lava lamp proposed for Washington town. I'm about 95% convinced it's a spoof, but as with all the best spoofs (Landover Baptist Church, TechnicalVirgin.com, etc) there's enough plausibility to make me uncertain.

Completely out of any context, this is the hymn I've had on the brain for the past few days. If something written in 1976 could be called a hymn. May write more about this another time.

That's odd, I've had Jubilate stuck in my head on and off for weeks. Considering we only ever heard the thing once and it was at least 12 years ago, that's impressive.

I'm sorry to tell you that a giant lava lamp has actually been proposed as a tourist attraction in Soap Lake, WA. It's been in the news here.
