This is a reply to the comments I've had regarding my last post. I wanted to reply to the various things people had said, but I didn't want to repeat myself over and over by replying to everyone individually. But I was worried that people might not look at the comments again unless they got an email to say someone had replied to a comment of theirs, so I figured it was best as a main journal entry.

Announcement of extension to the Frubilee Line.

Just so that you know it's not all doom and gloom in my life (which is an impression you could easily get from the last two posts), I should point out that there is a very good reason why I haven't been online much recently. *notes the last line of bio and perks*

Quick question about names.

Apropos of nothing, I find myself wondering how to pronounce the following two names, which I've only seen in print and not heard out loud:
Halle, as in Halle Berry, Oscar-winning actress.
Ciara, as in stonehan's little daughter.

I don't know how to read phonemes, and I'm not sure they translate easily into ascii, so please use descriptions of the sounds, trying to keep them fairly accent-free. e.g. "a as in apple" is ok, but "o as in Bob" is right out :)
