Note to people without LJ accounts: It's possible to get a LiveJournal account and just use it for reading other people's protected messages. The admin don't mind people doing that. It's dead easy to get a LJ account - just pick a username and go here. Your account won't ever be deleted, even if all you do is read other people's journals.

I don't really know you very well - I've seen you post on uk.people.polyamorous, but we haven't really talked in depth yet. Of the 32 actual people on my friends list here, there are only 3 that I haven't met in person and spent a reasonable amount of time with, and they are all people whose stuff I've read online and who come "vouched for" by other people that I trust.

I don't mean that to sound patronising - I'm sure I will add you to my list eventually - but at the moment it's just real life friends and friends-of-friends who are there.
