After much delay and faffage, we are pleased to announce a date for our house warming party. It is:
Saturday 16th October, from 5pm onwards

Events will include:
CAKE!
Multiplayer console games (console to be decided).
Write your own obscene fridge poetry (after 8pm).
Some kind of board game (probably Cranium, as that works well in teams and doesn't require too much brain).
Fluxx and/or other card games (to be decided, & depending on what people bring).
Striptease by [livejournal.com profile] wuzzie[*].
Waffles & ice-cream.

* Party will go on in 4 rooms including the kitchen, so there will be some rooms with music and/or games and others that are quiet for talking. Lots of space means you can also clump into little cliques and not talk to anyone outside your social group, if you want ;)
* No smoking anywhere on pain of pain (non-consensual). If you want to smoke, you can go and stand on the pavement, and we will laugh at you (especially if it's raining).
* Vast quantities of junk food will be provided, mostly vegan. Would appreciate prior notification of food allergies, especially anyone who is allergic to soy/soya or severely gluten intolerant.
* Soft drinks will be provided but you'll have to bring your own alcohol.
* Kids welcome until 8pm.
* Parking nearby is extremely limited until 6.30pm & costs us money. It's free after 6.30.
* We live ~10 minutes walk (downhill) from Norbiton railway station or ~10 minutes walk (flat) from either of the Kingston bus stations.

Are you coming?

... sick-cloths, mops, edible toys, baby books...

And Linnea is soya-intolerant as well as dairy-intolerant, but not allergic so it's only a medium-sized deal rather than a large one.

But I have no idea whether we'll really make it or not. I'd like to, obviously.

Just to clarify, while I am, of course, usually in the right country, on that date I won't be unfortunately (I will be in Japan).

I am already booked that day, but for an ongoing casual craft get-together which begins early afternoon, so I could probably manage to get to your party too, later in the evening. I'll work it our nearer the time - it will mostly depend on transport and on how I feel on the day.

Of course, if my brother decides to celebrate his birthday on Saturday (it's actually on the Sunday) then all bets are off :)

If I come I'd bring my darling with me (there wasn't an option to tick), but I'm not sure about getting to South West London. Anyway if we do, we'll bring Aimee's favourite vegan vanilla ice cream - it would be great to see you all again!

it's very unlikley that'll i'll be able to come because the week before is insanley busy and i'll proably be totally crashed by then. But i do have to be in London the next monday morning (for optometry) so it's very vaguey possible i might be staying with my parents for that whole weekend and could be around. (if i did come i'd proably bring some almond milk if that was acceptable to you as i am soya intolerant and just not that keen on oat milk).

Anyway i hope you and whoever does end up going have a very enjoyable housewarming

Please accept my apologies. I just replied to your poll with one of my RPing journals instead of my 'real' one. You may now laugh.

I'll bring the other two from HOP ... probably some real milk for tea/coffee etc. ... maybe Scrabble, if I can find it ... I ticked MEAT not because I am planning to bring meat as such, but because any food I might bring would probably not be vegetarian or vegan. (or at least not guaranteed as such) Then again, I could bring some frankfurter sausages and some finger rolls for hot dogs - if that would be acceptable?
