I saw this in the journal of a random friend of a friend, and thought it was a good idea. So I've pinched it ;)

[Poll #516901]
It seems slightly surreal that I have to wish myself happy birthday to see who's answered it, but never mind, eh?

Now if only I could get my exasperating Sims 2 bug to fix itself, I'd be happy...

But don't you want yourself to have a happy birthday? (Feel free to tell me to bugger off if this is more philosophical than you want to be today.)

OBTW - what color is Yowie, so I can have the right thread waiting for him?

To view poll results without answering the poll, just click on the poll number, and then click "View Poll Results"

I actually realised that after I'd posted - but never mind. I quite like seeing the results as a table in my actual journal :)

Happy birthday

But if you do that, you don't get to know which people remembered (or rather were organised to have something to remind them) and which people didn't. Or maybe that's the point.

Spookily enough, 2 out of the 4 people I work with have the same birthday as you.

Depends on the person. I've had to learn that forgetting someone's birthday isn't a reflection of how much you care about the person. Richard has a tendency to forget my birthday and our anniversaries - or rather, he comes out with things like "I knew your birthday is June 21st, but I didn't realise it was June 21st until I saw the date on the newspaper coming home". That was his excuse for Valentine's Day this year, iirc...

I've been doing that a lot recently myself. I know full well when most people's birthdays are, but I usually only get as far as figuring out what day of the week it is when I wake up. I don't often think "ah, today is Monday 7th, so I need to wish thingy Happy B'day".

I depend on LJ to tell me when most folks' birthdays are, so I got the news this morning.

I think this must be the first time ever I remember your birthday in time, and it's now enshrined in my Book Of All Knowing so I have no future excuses! Hope the choccies arrived - the last of mine was scoffed yesterday ;)
