Oh yes, that's worthy of a Myth 5, if ever I heard one. Just now, I was sitting here talking to Richard, & asking him what he's afraid of, because I only know about his squeamishness about blood & needles. It turns out that is, in fact, his only fear.
Whereas I am ridiculously phobic about freezers, and also afraid of wasps, mushrooms, needles, my own blood (other people's is merely unpleasant, it doesn't scare me unless there is a large amount of it pouring out of someone), depths (not heights, I am quite happy on top of a mountain with n tons of rock under me), large bodies of deep water, eyes, eye injuries... if I sit here a bit longer I'll probably be able to add to this... And I feel stupid for having so many fears. I'm even afraid of the dark! Not the dark you get in cities, where there is always a streetlight on somewhere, but true dark, that you only get in the countryside far away from civilisation.
