Bollocks. I only have 10 Tramadol capsules left. That's 5 doses. And my gall bladder is being annoying enough for me to be currently considering using one of them. Likelihood of J. Random Doctor letting me have a prescription for a strong painkiller? That's if I can even pluck up the courage to see whoever the random morning GP is. Why didn't I ask my GP on Friday? Stupid, stupid, stupid.

Also, our boiler is in the process of packing up. Again. It still sort-of works, but the hot water supply is dodgy enough that I wouldn't want to shower with it - being suddenly drenched in cold water is not good for me. Our usual CORGI engineer can't come round because his mum just died, and I can't get hold of the alternative one he recommended.

Once again, Timing Is Everything. Of course the boiler has to wait until it's winter and we need it, it's just sod's law. I'm especially pissed off because we're trying to make the boiler last until we replace the kitchen, when it becomes a lot more practical to rip everything out. Had I not been ill over the summer, we would have got the building work done and replaced the kitchen by now, probably. So this is yet another knock-on effect of the bloody gallstones. I just want them to stop kicking my arse, y'know?

Also, any GP at the surgery should have access to your prescription notes and repeats and so on. :) (And on-call doctors have been happy enough before to give us enough to last overnight until we can check in with a GP at the normal surgery.)

Ah, except the problem is, I didn't get prescribed Tramadol by the GP. I got it from the hospital on one of my many trips to A&E. And then got some more on another trip to A&E :/ A&E don't bother to communicate with the GP - they barely even manage to communicate with the wards :/ So no one actually knows that I've had it.

Mostly, we run into the problem that my desire to explain why I still have a gall bladder to J. Random Stranger is pretty damn low. There's a reason why, despite being almost completely nuts, I waited the two weeks to get an appointment with my own GP rather than having to see someone I don't know :/ This despite the fact I have actually seen almost all the GPs there for one reason or another (asthma checkup, smear test, etc) in the past.

Hmm. We always seemed to get a copy of some kind of info for the GP whenever we ended up in A&E. (Like, there were multiple copies, and one was meant to be sent to the GP, but they always gave us another one to hand in personally to make sure it got there.)

Dunno then. If I was in the UK, I'd just mail you some, but I'd be back over there by the time the USPS delivered it.

(If you're in dire dire need I have a friend who could probably get you some, but really it's best to try to get in touch with your GP. :) )
