World Aids Day

baratronToday has been a Bad Pain Day. Have spent hours lying in bed clutching my gall bladder. Yay.
More importantly, it is World Aids Day. Light a candle. Apparently $1 will be given for AIDS research for each candle lit.

geminigirl recommended ruralrob's journal as worth reading, and indeed it is. Today's post is called Shame, Philadelphia and Redemption . . .. Night and day . . ., Banded and AIDS on the streets of Montreal are also on the same theme. And his other posts are interesting. I especially liked Montreal graffiti.
Another highly moving article is this Final Salute. About the US Marines whose job it is to notify families of their loved one's death. 12 pages, and I cried all the way through. And I'm not even American.
