I read the Final Salute thing. I cried, not because of the people in the article who'd lost someone, really (mostly, that makes me angry, but I'll save the political rant) but because the way they talk about the Marines being there for the family- that's how I feel about my family and friends since Neph died.
Sure, no one stood guard over his coffin (and frankly, I think he would've called it a waste of time) but since the day he died people have been there for me, in one way or another, and I know that they'll continue to be.
