ARGH! STRESS!!

Today I got out of bed at 2 pm and ran out of spoons by 4.30 pm. I'm wondering if that's a new record. I don't get to fall over properly for a whole calendar month: the kids' last exam is June 19th. May have died by then.

Our extremely brief trip to Blackpool was good, but now I have three more livejournal entries to add to the ones I already had to write, plus a few hundred more photos to shift through and upload. Need more free time, so I can sleep, if nothing else. Also, for some reason I woke up abruptly at 7 am both mornings I was away (while Richard dreamed happily beside me), so I had 4.5 hours sleep on Thursday night and 6 hours sleep on Saturday night. Gah!

Took all the exam papers I had to mark on the trip. 9 hours of trains meant I'd done most, but not all. Got home to find 6 more pushed through my letterbox. Acquired 3 more today. Argh!

Am 440 entries behind on the default view version of my livejournal friends page. May not catch up ever. In idle moments while actually here, have been posting comments on interesting things or where I have an opinion that hasn't already been expressed, but I'm not sure whether anyone is seeing those comments. If I had more time at this exact moment, I'd post a poll asking whether you get emails of comments and read them (I only get emails of my own comments, and they go straight into a filtered folder that I rarely read), but I really don't have time. I'm only online now because I put the computer on to type up some notes for students :/

My employer is getting nicely busy and crazy with 'summer series'.

I get all comments to LJ and DJ into an email folder, I see them as they come in and usually go and respond if I wish to - although occasionally I do forget.

FWIW, I get emails of all comments in reply to my comments and posts, and read them. (They go in the same folder as the email copies of the comments I write, but those get automarked-as-read so I don't reread them.)

I get emails of all comments on my posts, and also set up comment tracking on (almost) all posts where I comment that are communities or someone else's journal.

(I say almost, because if I can predict the comments are going to be fruitful and multiply above 50-100 comments or so, I either go read the whole thing at intervals, or just track replies to my specific comments.)

I get e-mails of all the comments on my journal. Or at least I'm supposed to; ever so often the system breaks and I miss a few. But I usually do get them, and when I do I read them.

I get emails of comments made, and do read them. And have always appreciated the ones you have left for me. I have a quiet little LJ which doesn't get many comments, but I do very much appreciate the ones I do get. It's obvious that they are not comments for the sake of commenting. Hope you find more spoons soon.

I get comments emailed, read them but rarely respond to them. Unless an ongoing conversation is clearly needed. I sometimes wonder if it's rude not to thank a commenter, but I get irritated by reading people's journals where they seem to have felt the need to individually thank each commenter. ;-)

I get comments to my journal mailed, but not the comments I write to others. I do read everything, even if with a long delay.
