On the topic of Mothers Day and things you probably didn't really want to know...
You guys are apparently the only ones who have stuck with the original date of mothers day. It was originally a day when all the churches went back to thank the "mother church" for planting them... dates back to the days of very early christianity.
It then morphed into something acknowledging human mothers rather than mother churches... and how it somehow jumped to being a fixed date in May - I don't know yet.
Don't you feel so much better for knowing that now? :P
