Wow, guys! Something like 2 hours to write 199 words. GO ME!

(I hate battle scenes. But hey, at least this sounds like a battle now).

Story of my life! But hey, at least you kept trying for those two hours instead of giving up like I would. XD

I don't think I'll be participating in NaNoWriMo this year either. ;x

Eh, it was two hours of active discussion with Tailon and Dinova, as they tried to explain what a battle scene should be like. Their points made sense. For example, Alix was surprised by an attacker who suddenly appeared because her Chameleon spell wore off. He's not a good swordsman, he's a mage. So why was I having him draw his sword? It makes far more sense that he would attack instinctively using magic, and with some sort of flame spell (his name is Alix de Feu, after all). And then what? Is he such an overpowered Gary-Stu that that's enough to defeat his opponent? Of course not. So how does she respond to flames? With a shield. Okay, so what if Alix's first attack was actually a feint, hiding his real attack...

Having written one battle scene, I decided to write myself out of the second one (busy healing a very injured ally, didn't really see what was going on) :D
