p.s. I'm not about to drop dead.
May. 18th, 2002 02:00 pmNHS Direct are shite, if anyone cares. It took them an hour and a half to come back to me and tell me to ring the emergency doctor. How useful. I rang the emergency doctor and spoke to a medical professional in about 5 minutes, who said that I could go and have a blood test if I was worried, but it almost certainly was just flu, and if it was low white blood cell count I would probably have other symptoms such as infection in my fingers and boils on my bottom. So that was better.
Still cancelled going into work, though, and it's just as well I did. Today I've woken up with terrible pain in both ears. I know if I had to sit listening through headphones for four hours that I would have even worse pain and probably a ringing headache, so I'm going to have a lazy day instead. Don't know doing what yet. Alexa is spodding and Richard is still asleep, so I'll prod them in a bit.
