Hi! I realised yesterday that I haven't actually read Dreamwidth since before BiCon, which is a bit rubbish. I tried to catch up via my "Reading" page and it only went back as far as 26th August. So do please let me know of any events or changes in your life which I should know about. Also, tell me about BiCon which I was sorry to miss.

I am back at university, for some value of "back" which involves my working entirely from home on data analysis and going in to meet my PhD supervisor and Disability Mentor once a week. I had to write a chapter of my thesis and get that submitted to the Thesis Committee, and then have an exam on it (that was last Thursday). And then the day after I had to go and prove to the government that I'm still disabled (PIP Assessment).

So it's not really surprising that my chronic fatigue has been awful for three days. I have required 12+ hours of sleep, and woken up feeling like I haven't slept at all. Yesterday I was so exhausted that I couldn't really hold my own head up without support, which I have to say is a very unpleasant feeling.

Today I woke up with a worryingly large amount of energy. I got breakfast, found we were LITERALLY out of spoons, filled the dishwasher, cleaned the toilet, and that was it - 40 minutes later I'm sitting here feeling wobbly and ready for bed again. And that was even knowing that I needed to go carefully and conserve my energy, which was why I wasn't bounding up and down the stairs with laundry. Stupid illness.

It's good to see your font again.

What's new with me?

It's good to see your font again.

What's new with me? <user=gridlore> got me the new Ghost album for my birthday, I've become completely obsessed, I've met a girl through the fandom and I'm falling madly in love with her, I managed to survive Worldcon and Burning Man with less than a week between them.

Can I take a nap with you? I could really use about six, but one would be fine.

Good to hear from you. I realised I hadn't seen anything from you for ages this weekend so had meant to say hello.
Hello!

*waves*

I was sorry not to see you at BiCon or the BiFest in Kingston but assumed you had zero spoons and too many TODO things! BiCon was good, small, visual stress venue and poor access from hell and I suckered myself into being on the team "official fuckit fairy" which got a laugh from the plenary.

Well done for surviving thesis submission and PIP assessment - hope they were both as OK as such things can be. I slept for 4 days solid after my PIP assessment which was at home with STTR and I don't officially have a chronic fatigue condition...

Hope things improve spoons wise for you and you recover a baseline amount of energy soonest.

I dunno what I've been up to erm.

* I have a very part time zero hours job as a DSA needs assessor. New manager is good and some colleagues are nice - some are weird and bitchy tho so....

* I'm still trying to sue the DWP for access failings over PIP - they are bastards.

* I am not speaking to most of my skeleton but I have started using a walking pole for balance and reducing hip-fail which is helping AND people (usually women or black men) are being really nice and giving me seats on trains without me asking!!!

Right, I'm going to boot some tea into me and try and make up for a lost day's work thanks to #FuckingTrains.
