It seems that Ken Livingstone's scheme for civil partnership registration for couples of all gender combinations living in London is going ahead. Hooray!

I should point out that I was pointed at the news on the BBC site by Katy, who probably hasn't had time to post it in her journal yet.

I knew I wanted Ken to be mayor. Not that I got a vote or anything (living in New York), but I'm pleased nonetheless.
