Wanted: Movers. No experience necessary.
May. 27th, 2004 01:32 amSmall dynamic London-based family unit urgently seeks dedicated professionals to move shit from one place to another. Failing that, amateurs would do.
Essential:
Must be somewhere near SW London sometime this weekend, & preferably able to give us specific times when you can help.
Must be able to pack and lift small boxes.
Must be able to put up with me at random extremes of my mood cycle (hyper-excited vs ultra-stressed).
Must be able to tolerate listening to freezepop on auto-repeat all day long. (I might be persuaded to put something else on eventually.)
Must be able to put up with my singing. Earplugs not provided, but you can bring your own.
Desirable:
Ability to drive a van. If you have a van of your own, this is a bonus.
Ability to lift large boxes and help lift things like sofas.
Making the tea (or alternatives) and remembering everyone's drink preferences.
Near-psychic ability to tell from Richard's body language when he's stressed out (seeing as I don't have that one perfect yet I'm not sure if anyone else will).
Willingness to give calming hugs to anyone who needs them.
Extra cash for experienced plasterers.
Full training provided. We are an equal opportunities employer.

Date: 2004-05-27 12:00 am (UTC)I have no special plans other than a party on Saturday evening and trying to do some work on my car. (I am not offering to drive my own car, sorry).
However SW London is of course a bit far away for me in NE London.
Anyway give me a shout by email or phone if you think you need an extra pair of hands. I recommend as many as possible to make the job easier on the few who do some work! 07976 um and whats the other bit? 512145
I'd like to seek your advice on stuff but am a bit embarassed at not being around much of the last five years. It is a good thing not a bad thing. So if you need relief from the stress of moving then ask me to distract you. Maybe I'll email first.

Date: 2004-05-28 07:36 pm (UTC)Sorry, I feel really crap saying that, especially as he might want to see Peter. I dunno. See also previous comment about profound lack of parking. Maybe you could come down later (after 6.30pm) when parking is free, most stuff will already be in boxes and the boxes just need shifting?
