Name a CD you own that no-one else on your friends list does:
I doubt anyone apart from me owns the soundtrack to bizarre Korean rhythm action game EZ 2 Dancer? (yes, that is its name... Engrish and all). I also have the soundtracks to Space Channel 5 and Gitaroo Man.

I'm not sure whether anyone else here has "Blame Everyone" by Grand Theft Audio, which is in my top 10 favourite CDs ever. (GTA were a band featuring ex-members of the Wildhearts, 3 Colours Red and Real TV, but weren't very much like any of those bands). I also have tons of ancient CDs, including several by a mad Christian band called Fat and Frantic who were one of my favourite bands when I was 12 (look, any band with a song called "Last Night My Wife Hoovered My Head" have to be good, right? They also wrote songs about lengthy sideburns, the demise of the red telephone box, and one acapella number called Naughty Eve which in retrospect I think was about sadomasochism). And to my EXTREME EMBARRASSMENT (i.e. the fact I had a CD player when I was 10), I still own 2 Five Star albums and "Crush on You" by The Jets.

I don't know where they are, mind. But I never sold them or gave them away, so I must still own them...

Name a book you own that no-one else on your friends list does
Would it be cheating badly to go for a science textbook? Especially a book published in the last couple of years that I use for teaching, which none of you will have because it's too recent for you to have used it in school yourself and you don't teach science?

Yeah, it would, wouldn't it?

OK, let's go for Why Chemical Reactions Happen - a book I bought for pleasure. Or Vice Cream: Over 70 Sinfully Delicious Dairy-Free Delights.

Name a movie you own on DVD/VHS/whatever that no-one else on your friends list does:
Splendor?

Failing that, we'll go for The Ewok Adventure, which is technically Richard's anyway, but shhh.

Soon I will own all the Pokemon films - I bet none of you have them?!

Name a place that you have visited that no-one else on your friends list has:
This is made difficult by the fact that I have done most of my recent travelling with [livejournal.com profile] wuzzie, who is for his sins on my friends list. Also I tend to visit places to see friends, who are generally also on my friends list :)

um... has anyone apart from [livejournal.com profile] wuzzie and I been to Waterloo, in Belgium? (i.e. the site of the battle of the same name)

Mmm... it's probably useful IF you can't get/afford/use Swedish Glace, Tofutti or First Glace (the first two are soy/tofu based, the latter one is oat based, and hence much more non-allergenic) AND already have an ice cream maker or a great deal of motivation when it comes to tedious cooking. None of the recipes are exactly taxing, but if you don't have an ice cream maker there's an awful lot of "take it out the freezer, stir it thoroughly, put it back in the freezer for another 15 minutes, repeat for 3 hours", which is something I just can't be bothered to do. I don't mind difficult cooking where I have to slave over something for a couple of hours but I'm actually kept occupied all that time, but cooking which is time-consuming while not brain-consuming isn't my sort of thing at all.

I bought the book because I was feeling desperate for some Ben & Jerry's style ice cream - but there's a bit of a shortage of that kind of recipe in it. It's mostly fruit-based ice creams and sorbets. Um... I guess I'd give it 5/10 if you don't have an ice cream maker, and 9/10 if you do.

I really must post more of my dairyfree/vegan recipes online. Most of them are pretty straightforward.
