I left a very embarrassing message on the answerphone of someone on my friends' list earlier today.

I should probably insert a poll at this point to find out whether everyone I know also hates answerphones, but I can't be bothered ;) Maybe tomorrow.

Not sure if that's work-safe, except in the original (magazine) advert the bloke wasn't wearing any underpants, so my version has to be less dodgy than that...

Activia is a brand of yogurt which features "friendly bacteria" to feed your inner self. The adverts have a man spending time with his inner self, who is a small blue furry creature who resembles an ewok and is extreeeemely cute (http://www.livejournal.com/users/baratron/162888.html). Having just tried to find photos of him, and Google image search failing to find any, I just knocked together a web site with pictures (http://www.helen-louise.net/photos/innerself/) taken by 36.

Richard is well known for being an ewok (http://www.helen-louise.net/photos/richard_wicket.jpg). Therefore, Richard's outer self is a hairy beardy man (in purple underpants), and Richard's inner self is a small brown ewok.
