this is h-l typing left-handed on the cli of [livejournal.com profile] hatter from the hospital. Exciting stuff to report:
1. i am on input/output reporting. this is as nasty as it sounds.
2. you know you're ill when you're excited by a bowel movement.
3. we are still having trouble with bedpans being taken away. i have been shouting lots.
4. today i had another ultrasound by a trainee sonographer. as a result i know that i have a liver, kidneys, pancreas and aorta :) (seriously, it was quite fun)

OH good god, you poor thing.

I had my gallbladder out a few years ago, but thanfully I was only in hospital one night and it was really quite peaceful. For surgery, that is.

I love getting the ultrasound pictures of my insides. So cool!

Good luck, I hope it goes well from here on in!

Oh urgh, how awful, and aren't ultrasounds fascinating? Linnea has extra liver tissue, which is apparently very useful.

Yes, it is. When [livejournal.com profile] gridlore was being treated for his edema (wherein they finally tapped him like a giant beer keg - and the resultant 3L they removed from his chest looked remarkably like stale beer, to heighten the analogy), he was on incredibly strict reporting. The sad part was how instinctive it got for me to check the chart on the wall when I came to visit.

I'm going to do my best to get a certain freshly-frubbled beastie in the post to you tomorrow. It's looking like USD10 to get him back to you with package tracking; I'll advise if it turns out differently.

I presume this has nothing to do with RS232 ports?

Meep re: bedpans... That's just scary. We'll revisit some time over the next few days. Let us know if you need us to bring anything.

*many hugs*

2. Indeed... Or stuck in hospital with not much else to do.
3. Yes, lovely infection control. Not.
4. Ultrasounds are goood. I want an ultrasound machine... WANT.

This is where the whole 78,000,000 cubic miles of water between us thing really chafes.
I wish I could visit. Please get better soon.

Has anyone seen my missing accented e? The Clie/ had a key that would let you enter the e/, but lj ate it.

Also, the title posted twice for no apparent reason. Stupid thing.
