This is for your gallbladder removal, right?

I had it done in 2001 or 2002, can't remember, and it was fine. Seriously, the whole thing took about 45 minutes, I was obviously under general anaesthetic - you can ask to get antiemetics so you don't feel urgh when you wake up - and you're swollen and it hurts a bit - but it's nothing excruciating - and seriously, it's...pretty easy going, as far as surgery goes.

I was scared, too, but you just got to...goa nd have it done and it'll be over before you know it.

I'm glad you're finally getting the gallbladder out. You'll feel so much better in the long run (even though it is scary in the short-run). I was quite relieved to be rid of the gallbladder when it was me. :)
