Considerably belated wedding stress.

Gah. I am in trouble with my relatives. It turns out that I only managed to send ONE two thank you cards for wedding presents. They were WRITTEN, but not sent. I just found them all on my desk.

I knew we hadn't sent all of them yet, but I thought all the cards for my family had been sent (Richard's family being much less fussy about things arriving on time)... Godsdamnit.

Post them and blame the post office for slow delivery!
I have to confess I only sent one thank you card after my wedding and a couple emails, as I was so ill and my hands hurt too much to write any addresses. No idea if people were hugely offended, but it wasn't in my top 20 things to worry about at the time.

I actually can't remember if we sent any... If we forgot to, that would explain a few things! Urgh. We are probably past the point of blaming the post office, as it was many years ago at this point.

That said, we went to a wedding last winter and I don't recall seeing a thank-you card yet. Could just be my bad memory, but I am not annoyed or anything - just genuinely curious if they liked the gift and found it useful.

Alas, social norms are such that I won't get a real answer to that question without being creepy :-)
