I have a theory that just about everyone I know seems to be depressed at the moment, and I think it's because it's got to the point in the year where it's been winter for so long that it's like it's never going to end, and we all feel like crap due to lack of daylight. However, I realise that it is not winter for everyone in the world, and that some people are probably enjoying some lovely sunshine right now (the lucky sods!).

So here is a totally unscientific livejournal poll on the topic. I wish it was possible to write livejournal polls that link together the answers from multiple questions and correlate the answers automatically. Oh well. Question 2 is deliberately vague because I set about writing time intervals like "2-3 days ago" and "4-7 days ago" before realising that I couldn't remember the answer to it that precisely myself, so it was probably pointless expecting anyone else to.

Most of this analysis falls into the category of "Well, duh". It's my livejournal, of course I write about myself. (I wonder if the Blogalyser recognises <lj user=blah> as writing about my social circle?). I write less about the world in general than I'd like to, but spoons often do not exist. As for my verbosity, well :P~

The male/female analysis based on key words is hilarious, though. Apparently, "the" and "a" are masculine keywords, whereas "and" is feminine. Uh...

I have a doctor's appointment this afternoon. My GP is very good at treating patients, but very bad at being on time. He's the sort of doctor who wants to keep talking to you until you're more sorted out than when you went into the surgery, which is a good thing, except that he also specialises in the most difficult patients. Typically mental health, dual diagnoses and complicated stuff that no one else wants to touch. Also, Tuesday is the only afternoon session he does, meaning that it's "junkie day". People with combined mental health & substance abuse problems tend to be even worse at mornings than I am, so his Tuesday afternoon surgery gets filled up with highly distressed individuals.

So, let's play a game. How late will Dr Mike be running by the time I get to see him? ( Place your bets! )
