Just to let any denizens of New York or Boston know, Richard & I are going to be in your fair cities next week. Yes, I know I should have mentioned this earlier. Really haven't had enough spoons to plan anything lately. I think I might still be somewhat in denial about it all. The Freezepop 10th Anniversary? Yay! Kasson leaving Freezepop? *sob*

We'll be in New York from lunchtime Wed 22nd July until early afternoon Fri 24th, then in Boston until the last flight on Mon 27th. The whole of Saturday 25th is reserved for the Freezepop 10th Anniversary show, and much of Sunday 26th will be spent hanging around with [livejournal.com profile] hoopycat and [livejournal.com profile] veryfineredwine. (We're all sharing a hotel room together for the trip.)

If you happen to have any spare time to see us, I'd love to see you. (Richard will enjoy spending time with you but will probably forget who you are almost immediately. No offence should be taken by this, it's just what he does. I regularly have to remind him of people, in a format similar to "You know. So-and-so! Who we met at such-a-place on such-a-time for that-event!". You should be highly complimented any time that he spontaneously remembers your existence and asks about you later!)

We're flying. I didn't fancy the infamous Chinatown bus!

Delta Airlines 133
16:25 John F Kennedy Intl (JFK) | Terminal 3
18:18 Logan Int'l airport (BOS) | Terminal A

Weekday lunch would be good. We can come to somewhere near your work. Richard eats almost anything so we could do Chinese, though a sandwich place might be better as he tends not to eat a lot at lunchtime.

We're staying in a hostel over by Times Square that is so cheap relative to a) New York prices in July and b) what we're supposed to be getting for the money that I think there must be extra bonus cockroaches. It's on 9th Ave between 41st and 42nd Street, although I've heard that the private rooms are over on 44th rather than in the main hostel.

My contact details are all the same too :)

I've never taken the Chinatown bus; I do NY-Boston by either Greyhound bus (which is actually more convenient for me than the Chinatown bus) or rail. And I asked because I may be on that train to Boston next Friday, and if you were traveling by rail it might have been worth coordinating.

I guessed it might have been something like that, what with the partner in Boston! To be honest, I didn't think of travelling by rail - last time I looked up the prices, it was more expensive than flying, and a good deal more hassle. The whole thing whereby freight trains take priority over passengers rather put me off Amtrak.
